KidsFirst Standard Certification in Shenyang

The 24th of April 2018 was a big day for the Shenyang Children´s Hospital No. 1, for the Unireha Cologne and for AIRS.

One year after the KidsFirst Standardization Project has started to become implemented under the guidance of Orehsa (Sonja Konrad), it was the day when after a final audit the certification for the KidsFirst Standard was granted the first time in China!

The vice president of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, Mao Yinbai, the technical education dept. director Yang Hao, hospital President Dr. Mu Ya Ping and the rehabilitation dept. director Dr. Wang Chunnan all were glad to celebrate this big step forward of the hospital and for the kids in the region. “Getting out of wheelchairs” is the motto of the award winning and internationally recognized KidsFirst program by which rare neurological disorders can be treated successfully.

After a careful audit done by the standard owner Prof. Schönau, University of Cologne and by the certifier AIRS, Dr. Uwe Klein, the large audience in the hospital´s conference hall celebrated enthusiastically the handover of the certificate by Dr. Uwe Klein (AIRS) to President Dr. Mu Yaping.

The hospital plans to expand its expertise and services to the regional partner hospitals and to promote the standard for further standardizations and certifications to whole China.
